What an absolute thrill it was to get to travel to Boston from Bloomington to photograph Sam and Gretchen’s wedding! We love Bloomington, but how fantastic is Boston!? The day started early at the Sheraton Commander in Cambridge where the ladies of Pyara helped Gretchen and the gals get fancy with added assistance from the lovely flowers from Thornton’s in South Boston. Gretchen’s dress was gorgeous and Sam really stepped up the elegance in his dapper morning suit! A beautiful drive over the river into Boston proper led the parties to the stunning and historic Church of the Advent which doubles as a home to two very nice cats. Both Sam and Gretchen are deeply connected to ecclesial life and their ceremony was both intimately personal and rooted in longstanding traditions. Ross Wood, assistant organist and choirmaster, led the church choir for the ceremony’s music including the anthem, “May He Support Us,” which was commissioned from a friend of Sam and Gretchen’s, Canon Joseph A. Kucharski. The party returned to the Commander (the location where George Washington took control of the Continental Army) where music from Jazz in the Air, food by the Sheraton, and cake by Konditor Meister awaited guests. We had an absolute blast and it won’t take much twisting of our arms to get us back to Boston (wink wink: future couples)! Family and friends can contact the couple to view the rest in the client gallery. Congrats Sam + Gretchen!
